Help me give my students access to science. We have a small science lab for our special needs students and could use some hands-on, interactive items such as a "Simulated Frog Dissection Kit", and "Anatomy Model Bundle".

Our school is a K12, Special Needs School for students with significant cognitive impairments. We have students who are medically fragile, blind, deaf, autistic, intellectually disabled and/or have multiple disabilities. Our students have severe physical, mental and/or communication impairments.
Our primary focus is to keep our students safe but we also strive to help our students to be as independent as possible by teaching Self-Help Skills, Cleaning Skills, Cooking Skills and introducing them to alternative communication methods.
While at school our kids participate in Adaptive PE, Water Therapy, Art, Music, and Job Skill Training. We have created a Functional Living Center in which the students can practice cooking, cleaning, and basic living skills.
JCES has great connections within the community and we serve three school districts in Jackson County, Mississippi. We have general education students from area schools who work with our students each week and we have school events during which we invite family and community members to participate. Doing so exposes our kids to many different people and cultures.
My Project
JCES is a 100% special needs school. Our students' abilities fall in the severe/profound range. Our students have rulings which include: Intellectual Disability, Autism, Multiple Disability (Vision/Hearing Impaired coupled with other disabilities).
Our students have special needs but they are still curious kids!
We have created a small science lab in our vocational building and have begun to set it up for student use. One of the elementary schools in our district donated some science items to get our lab started. This project will help provide our students with hands-on activities that will enable them to learn new concepts and skills.
