My students are very unique and diverse. Some of my students come from homes of rocket scientists while other students come from homes of unemployed Katrina victims. The students are able to overcome their diversity to make our school a wonderful place.
My students teach me something new every day.
They come into class ready to work and excited to learn. They challenge me to create new activities and lessons in order to challenge them. They are amazing, and I want to return the favor by becoming the best teacher that I can be.
My Project
Science Olympiad is a national STEM competition in which students compete in 23 events over various scientific disciplines. The program incorporates hands-on activities that must be assembled prior to the competition. This will be the first year that my school is competing in the competition.
"You can't always be the most talented in the room but you can be the most competitive"- unknown.
My student come from a high poverty school district. I want to be able to provide them with the opportunity to achieve their highest potential. I am asking for two kits that will give my students a understanding of the event.
