This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students work hard every day to meet their goals and they really want to be able to read fluently. My project is getting TPT gift cards to buy Science of Reading materials that are fun and engaging. My students' abilities vary across the classroom and this will allow me to purchase targeted interventions for each student that is backed by research based on the Science of Reading.

Donations to this project will help make our small group time more fun and engaging while improving the students' reading skills.

The gift cards will be used for Science of Reading materials that are proven to improve reading scores from letter sounds to fluency. This will also allow me to purchase materials I can send home with the students so they have things they are able to read. This will help build their confidence and put them on the path to being fluent readers.
