These items will give my students chances to read words and practice phonics skills in hands-on ways. We'll use the sandpaper, LCD tablets, and DoodleJamz boards to practice writing heart words. We will "race" the toys along rows of words as we practice reading them. The students will love zooming the cars off the table when they are finished reading a row! We will use word cards with the games to make them more educational. They'll be having too much fun to even realize how much they are learning!
The mirrors will help my students notice the ways their mouths move when they are producing different sounds.
The magnetic chips and wands will be so fun to use when we are practicing blending sounds to make words. The chapter books will be great additions to my classroom to challenge students who are ready for more. I am so excited to add these items to my classroom and the kids will love them, too!
