My Students

My students are my life! For me, making their lives better and more enriched is my passion! We live in the urban city of Charlotte, and I have students of every kind. The diversity is amazing. We have students of all races, religions, and socioeconomic statuses.

My students are scholars!

Often, I get visitors observing my class, and they see a variety of things happening such as me standing on desks, singing, dancing, experiments, stations, collaborative group work, or students teaching other students. My students have a thirst for knowledge, and they always strive to fly higher than the rest! We are Ravens!

My Project

I came up with a lab activity for students to simulate Darwin's finches different types of beaks. By using different types of utensils and food the students will see how different tools work better with different food items. This will demonstrate to them how and why the adaptation occurred.

The other part of this DonorsChoose package are visual representations of various viruses and diseases!

It’s hard for students to grasp the concept of some thing that is invisible. So if I can bring have models to help bring it to life I think it will help my scholars.
