FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Engel's classroom raised $331

My Students
We are an urban school located in Rego Park, Queens. My students' multicultural backgrounds enrich our classroom community. They love to engage in conversations about their studies using critical thinking and creativity to challenge each other academically.
Growth mindset is a key component of our class and students can often be heard supporting and encouraging each other through their words and actions.
During their last year in elementary school, my Fifth grade students work hard to prepare for the transition to middle school. Additionally, throughout our journey together, they also grow as kind, determined and confident individuals.
My Project
In order to support the various reading levels and English Language Learners in my classroom, I am asking for a class subscription to Scholastic SuperScience Magazine.
Each child would benefit from having their own copy and the online resources they would have access to would help support them in their learning and facilitate a feeling of confidence and success.
Students would be able to access vocabulary support, videos, and online versions of the articles at different reading levels. This would also help to facilitate parent engagement as families would be able to share in their child's learning.
Since the use of Scholastic News Magazine has facilitated an excitement towards reading, I hope to extend my students' engagement through the use of this magazine.
