My Students

Most of my students are refugees from Iraq and Syria. Almost all come from lower income families. All the students at my school get free breakfast and lunch. Two thirds of my students are English Language Learners, and they are working hard and picking up English very quickly. Each student brings with him/her a unique story that makes our school climate diverse but also cohesive and collaborative. Students and staff work together to make the school a safe, respectful, and productive environment.

My Project

I love when my students can learn with hands-on activities. Science labs are great way to engage students in the field of science. These materials will help us conduct many science experiments together as a class, and they can be used to do some experimenting at home with their families too!

Science labs with hands-on experiments will bring scienc to life for my students.

The materials for this project will also allow my students to enjoy science safely. These materials will enable my students to observe, predict, inquire, and write about what they have done first hand.
