My Project

Providing opportunities for scientific discovery in early childhood is very important because children are programmed to explore and experiment right from the start, even as babies. There is countless research that tells us that children can develop either a positive or negative attitude towards science education that will remain entrenched with them through their schooling. This attitude all depends on their exposure to the world of science and experimentation and exploration. So by tapping into their natural predispositions early on, during their key developmental exploration phase, I can nurture and establish a positive approach to science education that will stay with my students into their future.

I can use the fully loaded mobile STEM station in my classroom with my students by introducing my students to the world of science through exploration and experimentation.

Even the very simplest activities can introduce my students to scientific concepts and stimulate scientific thinking. Early science education can provide a strong foundation in terms of both what is learned, and how it’s learned, that will remain with my students. By encouraging and directing my students’ natural curiosity, and familiarizing them with basic scientific vocabulary, I can help my students begin to make sense of the world around them, and gain some understanding of how things work.
