Science is Magic in Real Life!

Help me give my students a science lab! The school has the space and commitment but no proper furniture. We need versatile tables and stools as this lab will be for 494 students in pre-kindergarten to grade 4!

My Project

As the science enrichment teacher in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, I am fortunate enough to see almost every student in the school! My young scientists are in pre-kindergarten to grade 4-494 of them in all! My job: Make it hands on. Make it fun. I have been teaching science for years bringing science into classrooms using a rolling cart I take around the school. Unfortunately, we lacked a space for science...until now!

For the first time in a over a decade, a room is available in the school to create science lab!

This is an amazing opportunity, but our school lacks the funds to outfit the lab with the kind of furniture it would need to be versatile for such a broad age range of young scientists. I am committed to making a totally awesome science-dedicated space, but it needs to accommodate all the young scientists.

Once we can all occupy the space, I will write additional grants to get stereo microscopes, a Grow Lab, an aquarium and more. Please spread the word to family, friends and colleagues. We will not be able to acquire the furniture unless the grant is fully funded. Please share in this excitement and consider donating to make the PS 132 Science Lab a reality!
