My Project

Every day, no matter where you are, you will see people using their cell phones. My students use their cell phones for more than just making calls. They use them for texting, social media, and Internet searches too. However, some health groups are concerned that using your cell phone too much can be hazardous to your health as it exposes your body to electromagnetic radiation.

In this electricity and electronics science project, students will investigate how much radiation their cell phone emits when used for calling and texting.

Your donation and support will give my students the equipment to conduct their experiments. This project requires a radio frequency (RF) meter to measure and analyze cell phone electromagnetic radiation and determine the radiation level at varying distances. My students enjoy doing things hands-on and have taken such an interest in STEM. I want to continue engaging students in relevant projects to make a real-world connection and spark interest in exploring STEM-related careers.
