My Students

So much is going on in Kindergarten each day! Science is often integrated into other parts of the curriculum due to time issues. Weekly Reader - Science will give us a focus that we will be able to use each week with students for discussion and activities for application.

My students live in a small town and many are from homes with limited family resources.

About 60% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Our population is quite diverse and we embrace our differences. Our school is very much a family - students, parents, and staff - that is supportive and caring.

My Project

Weekly Reader with a science focus will help us focus on just science. So often, science is integrated into other areas of our day. Having Weekly Reader will give our students information related to science each week along with activities and experiments for exploration.

Students naturally connect to science and nature.

I am excited to be able to provide this focus to my students. I want my students to see science as exciting and inviting! Weekly Reader with the science focus will help do that!
