This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am teaching High School students in a charter school in Yuma, Arizona. To develop the love and skills for science is my main goal as an educator. For the past three years of stay in this school, my students and I have developed and achieved a lot. These students are curious and love science.

These students have competed in different Science Fair Competitions and become SUCCESSFUL in spite of the lack of advanced scientific tools and equipment.

These students are very innovative and passionate about scientific discoveries. In our classroom, we used a lot of common household materials on performing our experiments. Through collaborative learning and efforts, the learning process in the classroom has always been meaningful and fun. I am so lucky to have these students and I am looking forward to another amazing school year with them!

My Project

In performing science experiments, keeping controlling variables is important. My students are learning about how microorganisms grow and one of the things that we need to maintain is the temperature where we keep the samples. This digital incubator will be a great tool in order for us to perform microbiology experiments. For the past experiments we have been improvising incubators. So having an actual incubator will allow us to perform experiments at ease and with accuracy. My students are curious and innovative and having adequate tools to do science is one of our dreams
