My Students

My students are eager, excited, and love to explore. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Our school is nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, East New York.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.

We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

I believe It’s important for kids to learn about different animals. When we care for animals, we tend to appreciate live animals. My class will come to life to full fill their vivid imaginations. My scholars will learn about the habits and the diets of these animals. They will spend hours drawing pictures of animals and observing the basic needs of animals. I am sure they will be excited to see living organisms sharing the same space as them. Currently, I am using pictures and plastic animal toys for science but I feel it will be more fulfilling to have some live animals that are easy to care for.
