My Project

The purpose of a science fair is to demonstrate the knowledge and skills that students have learned through research, observation, and experimentation during their classroom instructional time.

The main objective of the fair is to analyze a scientific occurrence with an investigation or to solve a problem with an invention.

The skill sets that students will display can be transferred to real-world experiences and careers, while providing critical thinking skills.

Schools will display their science projects in the school library for the entire week designated for the science fair. Principals will choose a day during that week to invite parents and stakeholders to visit their school's science fair projects. Each science fair project should be student-led with the assistance of their classroom teacher.

Schools will create grade level ballots to judge each project. Each school will submit a winner for 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade (3 winners per school). Once all school winners are collected, then the district will vote on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners for Montgomery Public Schools.
