This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager learners and are excited about learning all about Science! Hands on learning activities will enhance their love for Science!

The Kindergarten students in my class are up for anything!

Many of my students are English learners so I try to provide as many hands on activities as possible, so they can continue to learn while developing their language skills. They love to explore and learn but our hands on materials for Science are limited. Most of my students do not have the chance to explore science activities outside of the classroom so I try to provide as many opportunities as possible through learning activities in the classroom.

My Project

The microscopes I am requesting will allow students to view slides and observe insects, plants and animals close up. This will allow them to begin to learn science concepts and develop the skills they will need as they progress through school. It is crucial that students begin to develop STEM skills at an early age. The microscopes will be one of several hands on Science centers in my classroom. Students will be able to explore and learn independently.

I am so lucky to be able to teach such enthusiastic learners!

My students love to learn new things and are especially excited about Science. Your support of this project will help pave the way for a new generation of scientists!
