My Project

As the high school science teacher at a rural district, I teach many different science courses. I'm excited to see my students back in the classroom after distance learning. To help facilitate a strong science course, I've focused on providing hands-on learning centered around inquiry and pushing my students to excel. In my environmental science and AP Environmental Science course, I plan on using the Elodea and Mosquito Fish to help students study matter cycling within biogeochemical cycles. I plan on using the sheep hearts and brains to engage my students in dissections in our first year Anatomy and Physiology course! Finally, I plan to use the scales and the weigh boats to help my students in Chemistry as they begin to work through stoichiometric equations with labs.
