Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 11th grade students are highly energetic, inquisitive and eager, who constantly challenge themselves. Most of them are in AP classes, take electives, and are involved in IT-related courses. They are very passionate in everything they do, inside and outside of school.

My students come from various parts of New York City, and many have families from all over the world.

They bring fresh, new experiences that liven and enrich our discussions in science class. They are the force to drive teachers like me to constantly improve our teaching methods, seek better resources into the classroom and learn new ideas.

My Project

With the current COVID-19 crisis, schools have shifted to some form of remote learning. Students will be able to interact, collaborate and view recordings using whiteboarding apps on the iPad tablet. Remote students can also follow and create their own diagrams and problem-solve referring to my model on the iPad.

I am the only chemistry teacher in my school, and report to the physical high school building to teach.

I need to use an interactive, digital whiteboard to diagram, annotate, and problem-solve model questions for my students. An Apple iPad is the best tool for student teaching.
