Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Children are naturally inquisitive and full of questions about the world around them and they have the drive to investigate how things work! This year, I would like to take advantage of this innate curiosity and start channeling my student's enthusiasm for scientific discovery as early on as possible.

Having a Science Center would be a great way to teach communication skills, collaborative skills, teamwork, and perseverance, as well as analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

My goal is to visit our science center 3 times a week so it can help expand my student's vocabulary by using scientific terms that are appropriate for their age group. I'll encourage them to extend ideas and embed their learning through related literacy, numeracy, and creative activities.
