This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With such a heavy emphasis on reading, writing and math in today's curriculum, critical subjects such as science and social studies are pushed to the side.

But when children are afforded the opportunity to be inquisitive and curious in matters of science, their focus on the task increases and their determination soars to admirable levels.

We would like our students to engage in various scientific processes through stimulating STEM activities. We want to tap into their creative minds and create critical thinkers, problem solvers, and collaborators. We want our students to experience all aspects of school, beyond the mechanics of reading and writing.
