Prek- Grade 4 students are tackling two major topics in springtime: Health and Global Citizenship. We are learning food sustainability and how to eat healthily in our daily life. Furthermore, we will be focusing on ocean animals and how pollution affects their habitat. Due to the age of the students, my ABA class preschoolers will benefit more from hands on experience.
As we dig into these major issues: Health and Global Citizenship, we are lacking of contain related books for students to gather information and learn more about these global issues; also the younger students will need more hands on supplies for them to understand the concept of habitat.
The manipulate play supplies, such as magnet-tiles are great way for young students to solidify the abstract concept to concrete knowledge. They will be able to recreate the habitat suitable for the animals. With your support of books and magnet-tiles, you can bring the world into the language class for these students; help the young students learning the complex concepts. Get the students to think about these issues we are facing each day.
