My Students

My students are members of the ACES program which is focused on academic and real life skills. Students do not work towards a standard diploma, therefore applicable skills that be used in the real world is the aim. Despite their learning disabilities, students desire to create and learn.

Our main focus is Science and Sustainability for the special education population.

Students learn how to grow, care for, propagate and maintain various plants indoors and outdoors throughout the classroom and school in hopes of creating a more beautiful school community.

My Project

Our main focus is Science and Sustainability. Students will learn how to grow, care for, propagate and maintain various plants indoors and outdoors throughout the classroom and school in hopes of creating a more beautiful school community. These student with special needs will contribute to the community as well as gaining real-life skills.

Students will apply their knowledge of the science curriculum by growing, caring for and donating vegetables and plants within the community.

It is my hope that organic vegetables will be used in the student cafeteria and donated to anyone within the community in need of fresh produce.
