My Project

This project is all about putting Scholastic Classroom News Magazine into the hands of my little firsties.

Our school district does not currently have the funding for science or social studies curriculum for the lower grades.

This is terribly frustrating as a teacher because I am unable to offer my children the materials they need to succeed; especially in crucial areas like science and social studies. To combat this issue, we are requesting a classroom digital subscription to Scholastic Classroom News. This magazine is an exciting and economical way to build the science and social studies knowledge of young learners. Plus, year after year, it is always a big hit my little firsties. Scholastic News is famous for its informational text and articles, so it would be an excellent resource to have in our tiny first grade classroom. We are also requesting a class set of Science Spin that will help teach important Science skills and a class set of Map Skills workbook for Social Studies!
