My Students

My students are gifted and talented seventh and eighth graders currently following the Living Environment course curriculum. They are highly motivated and always try to build on one another’s ideas. They love participating in debates, hands-on and virtual lab activities to extend their learning.

Our class will benefit from the inclusion of more technology to enhance their studies.

The scholars will soon embark on creating projects for the science fair & engineering showcase. We appreciate your support. All donations are considered substantial.

My Project

These materials will allow my students to explore science phenomena and learn concepts in civil, biomedical, and chemical engineering. They will be participating in an engineering showcase hosted by the New York Department of Design and Construction in May, and I want them to be well prepared.

Students that participate in this program will have the opportunity to intern for the DDC, and also gain relevant experience to add to their high school portfolios.

I would love for my students to present the best projects possible. Thank you for your support. All donations are substantial. We appreciate you. Thank you!

Students will use the balsa wood, clay, construction paper, bog moss and glue guns to build their model cities. They will also design cities of the future using the robotics kits and snap circuits. They will use the air pollution assay kit to describe how they will maintain the air quality in their cities.

Students will learn more about chemical reactions with the materials (Calcium, Potassium, glucose test strips etc) in preparation for the science fair. They will also use the Daphnia and Elodea to learn more about metabolic reactions , homeostasis, and the similarities between unicellular and multicellular organisms.
