This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like when you were a student? As a student I loved science. I would like my students to have the same opportunities as we did! Which is to learn about the field of science!

My students are great!

They are in a title one school in New York City. Unfortunately, they come from homes that do not know a lot of English. My students parents do not have a lot of money. So they can't get exposed to everything that they need to. It breaks my heart! As a teacher, I am trying to expose my students to the fields that they don't recognize. Science is only given once a week in my class. I am trying to change that and give my students an education that will fill their minds with questions and answers.

My Project

These science materials will help my students by exposing them to information that they never knew. These materials consist of plants activity tub, solar system activity tub, feel and discover ocean bag, multi-themed science bags, exploring light activity, and a big view magnifier. By using these materials in my classroom, my students will have a chance to learn hands on what science is all about. With these materials, I will be able to create a science center in my classroom. The children will be able to explore information that will fill their minds with knowledge. Maybe these materials will help my students think about maybe becoming a doctor or a scientist. But, the only way that they will be able to do this is with your help! Please help me, by giving my students the opportunity that they deserve!
