This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In reviewing anonymous student feedback forms, it was clear that the most engaging unit from last year was made possible due to the generous contributions to fully fund our Donors Choose projects. My students were extra excited to implement these projects and always eagerly asked if each day's focus would allow them to design, create, and explore with our new 3D printing handheld devices and printer. That excitement resulted in the depletion of all but a few of the necessary materials.
These 3D printing filament would allow my incoming students to experience the same joy that I witnessed in the upperclassmen who progressed through my class last year.
In addition, the collection of basic resources will make setup for the new school year that much more engaging and accessible for students and their needs. Markers and erasers for the white board and laminated visual aids and project documents will only be the start of a successful academic year.
