School Wide Student Event Photo Printing

My Project

Our school specializes in teaching students with disabilities adaptive learning and our students are among the most high need. Whether their occupational, physical therapy or speech needs are supported by adaptive devices or staff training supports behavioral or sensory needs. Our students population covers 13 categories of disabilities in a self contained setting.

Our art photography program supports the school wide event calendar such as student of the month ceremonies, holiday fairs, social emotional learning fashion show, and family engagement events.

This project will provide the photo program with a WiFi printer to be used to print out art assignments and student portraits at events. For example each student in our school receives a printed portrait with Santa to take home. Students in our school require support in a traditional photography portrait studio so we aim to bridge that gap with this project. We photograph our students regularly and provide them with prints to take home throughout the year.

In our class we create autobiographical scrapbooks with our own portraits as well.
