This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students love writing, and without doubt one of their favorite projects is to compile and publish their very own stories about what is going on in the school.

At Truett Elementary, our Student Council consists of twenty 3rd -5th grade students with a true passion for learning.

Like many students, their absolute favorite thing to do is write! The students would like to be able to print pages of text and vibrant pictures they take around the school to create a school newsletter.

My Project

The students' love for writing is evident. We have plenty of paper, but without adequate toner for the printer, this publishing process and project just isn't possible for a school of over 1200 students. Writing has become such an integral part of the school day. Students need to be able to write in all subject areas in order to be successful. They also need opportunities to write about what is important to them. These opportunities help to foster a love of writing!

Please consider making a difference with supporting this school-wide project.

The students need laser printer toner cartridges for the HP M551 printers that will vibrantly print their pictures and text so that they can publish the monthly school newsletters.
