Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from low income families who need help buying their children school uniforms. Most of them are children who come from broken homes and their parents can't afford to provide them with uniforms due to single income. My vision is for those students to feel as fortunate as those whose parents can afford to buy them uniforms. Moreover, by having all students dressed with uniforms will prevent them from feeling less fortunate.

I would love to see all my students dressed for success regardless of their social economic status.

Moreover, I would love for them to feel that all of them are equal in opportunities if they put their mind into academics and that what really counts is how we feel and act and not what we have on.

My Project

More than three‑quarters of students in my school are from low‑income households or one parent home.

Having students dressed alike will diminished their feeling that what you wear is what you are.

Instead they will be more into learning.

Unfortunately, the community where I work at, parents are from a very limited income, therefore, I would like to provide the students with their uniforms.

I know parents will appreciate it and student will look at each-other as equal and not be put down by those that can afford to have good clothes since in school. Everyone will be dressed alike.

I hope someone will be interested in helping out with this project.
