My Project

I am currently a 7th grade teacher in an urban district.

Most of the students who attend my school are economically disadvantaged and need all the resources they can get at school.

They thrive, however, when they are given the opportunity to expand their learning. These supplies for my classroom will be used by all of my students on a daily basis.

Many families are single parents/caregivers households that are trying extremely hard to provide for their children, but with the way the current economy is, they are not able to provide any school supplies or donate anything to our classroom.

The school supplies I am asking for help with, are notebooks, folders, pencils (and a pencil sharpener), dry erase boards with erasers, command strips to hang student exemplars, a durable storage bin to house all of the supplies, expo markers for the whiteboards, and finally, earbuds for the students to be able to participate in lessons when they are needed, and cleaning supplies that will take that need off of the parents and the students will not have to worry about these supplies and can focus on learning! I also am requesting a printer, copy paper, and ink for those students to access the curriculum and print out their classwork/homework, and level the playing field for those students that have the need. The sticky paper easel will allow my students to participate in the classroom and share their ideas with the rest of the class. I unfortunately do not have the additional money to pay for these much-needed supplies!! I would appreciate any help that can be provided.
