My Students

Chicago Public School is a district full of special, diverse, and unique children with needs that mirror this. Due to poor budgeting students like mine stuffer from inadequate resources like: crowded classrooms and never enough technological equipment.

My students are very eager to learn and very excited about their first grade year!

84 percent of our students come from low-income homes and most students live in a neighborhood that is high in violence and crime. Despite their circumstances they are ready to learn and grow this year!

My Project

Having school supplies that will last all year long will allow my students to reach success. Throughout the year school supplies slowly start to dwindle. Without the proper materials students cannot reach the level of success needed. Students will use the pencils, erasers, dry erase makers, clipboards, dry erase erasers, glue sticks, and etc. to complete classwork and projects. The classroom will use the pencil sharpener to make sure each and every pencil gets it use. As the teacher I will use the clicker for interactive power points and scented markers to create anchor charts.

My project will make a difference because it will give students the basic classroom materials they might not otherwise have.
