This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello! This is my 6th year teaching elementary students in New York. I love the city I grew up in, and I always wanted to give back to my community. I am hoping to get some help for some basic school supplies to give parents and teachers one less worry. Our students come from different situations.

This past year alone due to the pandemic, I have been building more bonds through social emotional learning and understanding the financial impact this crisis has had on my students and their families.

I want to continue to give back to my students the way my teachers gave back to me when I was a kid. These students remind me so much of myself, filled with adult obstacles each day, but trying to be just regular kids. I hope that this small project will help continue to cultivate creativity in my students. Even a small piece of paper, pencil and crayons open their larger, endless possibilities in life and explore curiosity and new interests outside of the everyday routines.

My Project

These materials will be used in the classroom to provide enriching and engaging activities for students to learn and grow. Students will be creating reader's and writer's notebooks, discovering their creativity as mini authors with the need of your help to supply these tools. Students will also be able to explore and express themselves by creating magnificent artwork throughout the year that reflects their learning, growth all throughout a fun learning environment within our classroom with the use of crayons. The headphones will be used when we are engaging with our computers and hand sanitizer will keep our kids safe from any unwanted germs! I hope that you can provide less worries for my students by funding their basic school supply needs for our classroom this school year. Thank You!
