My Students

I teach a 4th grade Inclusion class at a New York City Title I elementary school where all children qualify for free breakfast and lunch. My students are both general and special education.

My classroom is a diverse population of students from a mosaic of cultures.

My challenge is to differentiate instruction to meet the learning needs of such a diverse family of students who are in language acquisition and basic learning modes. With students of such different learning abilities I strive to create an inclusive and warm accepting classroom.

My goal this year is to create a dynamic and warm 4th grade family where all my students feel free to express themselves and feel pride in who they are. As I tap into the talents of my students, it's important for me to have the supplies they need to create and learn.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are necessary for them to become successful in and out of the classroom.

The pencils, erasers, loose leaf paper, colored pencils, and other supplies of the sort will be used by the students, so that they can create projects and books.

The staples will be used to display the students arts and crafts and projects they do in and out of the classroom. The chart paper will be used to create anchor charts that reflect the discussions we have during our lessons.

With these supplies you will be ensuring a year full of success for my students.
