My Students

Each day I have the privilege to work with 24 very different students. My students come from different backgrounds, perform at different levels academically and have different social and emotional needs. They are the most important part of my job.

My students are hardworking, creative, humble, kind, charismatic, and so much more.

Year after year, watching my students is one of the greatest gifts. Watching my students, who come from different places and circumstances, always seem to find a way to come together. They are resilient and brave. They are family.

My Project

Every summer, school supply lists are sent to families. These families then head to their nearest store and begin buying brand new school supplies to use throughout the year. Unfortunately for my students, this isn't always the case. Many of my students are unaware of when/where their next meal will be, let alone their school supplies.

I want to help alleviate one fear for my students - How will I get the tools I need to be a successful learner?

This is why I am asking for simple supplies like folders, glue, headphones, and other tools to help my students learn to the best of their ability.
