The supplies requested are to help the students of two science teachers. While technology in the classroom can be an amazing resource, most science students still work best on paper instead of the computer. Our high school science students (Intro Physics, Biology, and Astronomy) have class binders for their work, but supplies to complete assignments can be difficult to come by. It is difficult to find paper to print assignments, and multicolored paper helps students stay organized. Highlighters and markers allow students to annotate, color code notes, identify pieces of different models, etc.
Our students need these supplies to be successful in their science classes and reach the amazing potential we know each of them have.
