My Students

Hi my name is Venus Cataldo and this will be my 4th year of teaching! This year will be my first year teaching physical science and I’m excited yet nervous since I won’t have all of the materials needed to teach my students to the best of my ability.

What I love about my students is that year after year they are the “underdogs” when it comes to test scores/ academics, and each and every year they prove that not only can they can DO science but they can excel academically!

I try to build confidence in my students throughout the entire year so that when they take their state test, they feel so relaxed and calm with an “I got this” attitude.

I’m mainly asking for supplies that my students can use on a daily basis since I teach at a low income school. So any donations can drastically help my students and their families not worry about the “money factor” and focus solely on learning!

My Project

Most of the supplies will be provided to students who can't afford the materials I have asked for. I have requested some school organizational materials and these will be used to organize graded papers and materials for group work.

The donations of this project will help my students by providing materials that their parents/guardians may not be able to afford due to the current economy.

My school district is a low income district and due to Covid-19, I know for sure that school supplies will be at the bottom of the totem pole of importance.
