My Students
I work with 6 wonderful students who are diagnosed with autism and are the most loving and amazing children. Each day they come running up to the door of my classroom eager to see what is in store for them.
My students do not let their disability hold them back; they are eager to learn new things each day through their fun loving personalities.
They inspire everyone who comes into their lives and have such a great outlook on life. I have students who are nonverbal and express themselves through gestures and picture symbols as well as students who are verbal. They are a great group to see each day and I look forward to work each day because of them.
My Project
There are many different supplies that help a classroom get off to a good, positive start. My students are in need of some of these supplies to help them achieve their best.
I work with students with autism and they to help them achieve their goals, my classroom needs to have a routine with basic supplies ready for them day one.
With the use of the paint brushes, we can create wonderful art projects. The pencils and scissors will allow my students to work on the fine motor skills that they have delays in. Also, the binders will help them learn to keep their schoolwork organized in dividers. The timers would allow my students to become independent in the bathroom, as many of our students are still not toilet trained and the timers help as a reminder to stick to a schedule.
