Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help provide my students supplies for them to use in the classroom. My students have a tendency to lose handouts containing important information regarding the lessons. I believe using binders will keep these handouts safe. This way my students would be able to refer back to this information when needed. I want my students to learn the importance of staying organized and how it can help them in the long run. The dividers would be used to clearly identify the subjects.

Many of my students have difficulty reading and lose their place in the paragraph.

My goal is to provide these students with guided reading strips. In this way, they are less likely to get lost in the reading. The highlighters will help them identify key words and phrases. Students are allowed and encouraged to mark up and take notes in their reading textbooks.

Many of my students come from low-income neighborhoods and may not be able to come with necessary school supplies. In our case, many were not able to bring many of the items in the supply lists. Students are missing key supplies for enrichment activities and lessons. We are lacking in supplies such as scissors, crayons, color pencils, erasers, glue sticks, colorful pens, index card, and binder rings.
