Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are goofy, silly, funny, emotional, frustrated, energetic, impulsive, and craving someone to care about them. My classroom consists of 10 students with special needs and 15 students of mixed English language learners and general education students. This makes it difficult to meet the various needs of the students in my classroom.

I do my very best to make each child feel special and assure them they can do it.

My school has a huge population of low socioeconomic students, as well as children in shelters. It would be great to give these students a chance and an opportunity to meet their optimal potential.

My Project

During these trying times, the biggest dream for a teacher is to have her students feel cared about and a part of something. Having Cricut iron-on supplies will allow my students to design and create their own custom school spirit-wear. I am hoping that wearing our own school creations will bring back a sense of togetherness.

Nothing fills a teacher's heart more than when her students smile and beam with confidence.

The hardest part of all of this is bringing that out through a screen. I am in very high hopes that showing off some custom-created school spirit wear will give my students that missing feeling.
