Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The middle school girls at our school wrote a letter to the principal asking if they could start a cheer team for the sports teams. Our school plays soccer, basketball, and volleyball and these girls want to show their school spirit. We will a cheer team that sings, cheers and stomps and claps their way to a win!!

In addition, many of our families in Springfield, Massachusetts are financially struggling and do not have the additional resources to support their child's extra curricular activities.

This cheer team will be FREE for families in middle school and will provide the enrichment and school spirit the students are desperately craving. Students will write their own cheers and use the pom-poms, megaphones, and bull horn to help our school spirit grow!!
