My Project

I have a great classroom space to provide individual and group counseling to K-5 students in need. However, as the first school social worker at this school, the tools and supplies available are limited. I would appreciate any help getting supplies such as sensory cushions, a calming kit, and social skills board games together to create a functional space with awesome tools! The supplies/tools on my wish list will help me to introduce concepts and skills to students that will build resiliency and self-confidence. These skills include learning about emotions, building vocabulary to express their emotions, relaxation techniques, cognitive strategies, and problem-solving skills. Thank you for reading!
