My Project

After lots of ups and downs, my school has finally approved a second full-time school social worker (that’s me!) for a high-needs school. My students are struggling with anxiety, trauma, stress, and depression, and need a safe space to go to help them remove these barriers to learning.

I am so grateful to have a dedicated space, but it’s utterly empty of supplies.

Please help me make it a place where my students can learn coping skills, regulate their emotions, and finish their school year on a positive note.

Items like whiteboards help me communicate and help students make transitions between activities and classes. Fidgets are soothing and regulating when used intentionally. Floor pillows will help me create a calming corner in an otherwise empty space.

With your help, I can reach students who have been struggling and set them up for success. Your thoughtful generosity will make a world of difference!
