This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hi, I am the Librarian at a Title I school. The staff and students are incredible. All of our students are on a free lunch system. Most students do not have access to technology at home. We are starting a new junior leadership program at school that requires the equipment on my list. Students can participate in this program as well as focus on academics and fine arts and technology, using LEGO and robots in class.

My Project

We are developing a junior leadership team that will help with carpool, crossing guards, hallways safety and cleanliness, recycling and more. The outdoor safety equipment will give them a sense of importance and membership.

My readers will get to enjoy the comfort of a hammock while working on laptops or reading their favorite books.

I have the mesh hammock from DonorsChoose already but not the stand.

Teachers are implementing the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. The books are hard to find and we are short a few copies for staff members. The 7 Habits are promoted weekly in each class by teachers and students.
