Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need basic materials for our lessons and daily activities. They need rulers for measurement in their third grade math unit. They need ziplock baggies for bringing home books in "Book baggies" for daily reading. Additionally, they need sharpies and gel pens to label their materials.

Please help my class obtain basic material to make them successful.

Each part of this project is one step in the process of making their lives easier with learning. Every night students are asked to read for 30 minutes to improve their reading and push them to new reading levels. We provide ziplock baggies that can help them carry all of their leveled books home with them. When they are given resources, they are successful. In the third grade math curriculum, this year students are asked to measure the sides of shapes to find perimeter and area. This has been very difficult this year due to our lack of rulers and having to share the ones we do have. Please help us provide each student with their own individual ruler. Additionally, students at this age have a challenging time organizing their belongings. With sharpies and gel pens, we can label each one of their belongings to help them stay organized.
