My Students

My first graders are enthusiastic for school to start up again. These students are authors, engineers, scientists and avid readers. They have such big hearts and want to do so many big things.

They come from diverse backgrounds and have already brought so much to our classroom.

Despite what a challenging time this is for everyone, they continue and will continue to face this adversity with their best effort.

My Project

With us starting off the school year learning at home, I want to ensure that all my students have the materials/resources they need to successfully engage in distance learning. My goal is to organize and prepare materials for students to use at home so students can engage in hands-on activities even at a distance. I am providing each of my students with a whiteboard, dry erase markers, dice, playing cards, and writing materials.

This back to school kit will ensure all students have access to the same supplies that I would typically use in the classroom.

Parents will not have to worry about gathering materials for their child that may be necessary for lessons or at-home learning. This kit will also increase engagement online. The students can engage their family in their learning through playing math games.
