Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

School wide performances and instruction are an important way to build a sense of community and increase achievement. Unfortunately our audio visual equipment is lagging behind our school technology. Please help us purchase a new projector.

The students in our school are a diverse group with a wide range of skills and capabilities.

Although they present as atypical learners they all enjoy our school wide meetings and presentations. It is during this time that students with different diagnoses are able to come together and share what they have learned with one another.

My Project

A school projector will help the students and staff better implement our technological resources as well as increase a myriad of skills. As atypical learners the students often present with social skills deficits and atypical academic achievement. One of the ways to better teach social skills is to provide the students with opportunities to interact with one another on a school wide basis. School wide performances and presentations often provide students with the that opportunity as well as being a good motivator to achieve academically in the classroom.

The projector will help all the students in our school increase achievement in a wide range of areas, including social, speech/language and academic skills.

Your donation will help students in an entire school and will be an integral part of performances and school wide instruction.
