My students belong to low-income/high poverty school district. Most of my students come from a very ethnically diverse community. We have students from Israel, the ex-Soviet Union - countries that many Americans have never heard of. In addition, we serve students from all over Asia, Africa, Central and South America, and Mexico. There are 13 spoken languages and our students come from 16 foreign countries. We are a Title I school and most of our students receive free lunches.
At this moment we got students from Ukraine and it hurts when I hear their stories, although I know what's happening there.
Despite the conditions these students live in, they show great attendance and are eager to learn.
Dear Donors, I am asking you to contribute into my students' school uniform. Without your support, they would not have a school uniform and I don't know what they would wear to school. We, teacher, students, and parents will highly appreciate your generosity.
