My Project

At our school, we are committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for our students. One of the most impactful initiatives we have implemented is our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Store, where students use the points they earn for positive behavior to purchase items. This incentive program has played a significant role in improving our school culture, with ISS and OSS days decreasing by an incredible 80%.

Our school serves an economically disadvantaged population, and the PBIS Store provides students with access to items they may not otherwise have.

Thanks to community donations, we’ve been able to stock a variety of essentials, but the most popular items—snacks and squishy toys—sell out quickly. These items serve as powerful motivators, reinforcing positive behavior and creating an environment where students feel seen, valued, and rewarded for making good choices.

What makes our students special is their resilience, enthusiasm, and desire to succeed. They thrive when given recognition and tangible incentives that celebrate their hard work. By replenishing our PBIS Store with the items they love, we can continue fostering a sense of accomplishment and motivation in our students.

Our goal for this project is simple: to sustain and expand the positive behavioral momentum we’ve built by ensuring that our PBIS Store remains well-stocked. Every contribution—whether monetary or in-kind—will directly impact our students by reinforcing positive behaviors, improving classroom engagement, and ultimately enhancing their learning experience.
