My Project
My students have improved their scholastic motivation through playing guitar, but I really need to get some guitars in their hands during school celebrations in order to give them a reason to really dial in a piece of music. It is important to me that students see themselves as capable of doing something positive and express their emotions through music.
I have students who are doing amazing things with the classroom guitars we have available, but they lack a guitar they can use to share their talents with others.
I want them to have more options than causing trouble in the community or causing harm to themselves. Many of my students spend endless hours alone in their rooms with nothing but glowing screens to occupy their time while their creative capital withers on the vine.
