My Students
I encounter many students on a day-to-day basis, teaching about asthma, diabetes, and many other common health care concerns such as fractures and nosebleeds. These students are from a small town community and are so willing to help each other when needed. They bend over backward for each other. They are smart, caring, and capable individuals who deserve the world. However, some of them are lacking the means to do so. The staff at BEHS are here to provide every means available to us to help them succeed in their every endeavor! We love these students and this school is more like a family!
My Project
Most students I encounter don't have the luxury of having daily care items readily accessible at home. I have had students that also needed to shower during the day for different reasons.
These items will help me as a school nurse to provide items that these students may not have access to at home or items needed emergently during the day.
Many days I provide tooth brushes, deodorant as well as feminine hygiene products. These students know that I carry supplies to help them be the best they can be and even come by to ask to take some home.
