My Project

This project will create a “Lending Library” for our school and help bring reading home for our students. Our classroom library is a place that they really love but many children do not have books to enjoy at home. Unfortunately, COVID has been keeping families from utilizing the benefits of the public library and many children are not being exposed to literacy outside of the classroom. With the addition of our school wide "Lending Library", they will be able to choose books that interest them to borrow each week and read independently at home. The best way to increase reading ability is to increase exposure to print. These books will help the students to further develop the love of reading that we create in our classrooms.
